Effective care for Parkinson’s with the required flexibility
Parkinson’s can be a particularly difficult ailment to live with, since it is a progressive disorder, meaning that symptoms tend to worsen and change over time. At The Legacy Care At Home, our caregivers provide personalized in-home Parkinson’s care plans that are adapted to each senior’s needs as they age.
What we can do for you

Medication reminder
Our caregivers help remind medication for client’s, helping them to maintain their prescribed medication schedule each day. Also, they can help with Assistance with self administration of medication, this means verbally prompting a client to take medications as prescribed following a guideline.

Our caregivers provide support for a wide range of daily activities, some of which are not listed here. Get in touch to learn more.

Some seniors progress through the stages of Parkinson’s much more quickly than others, and so creating a one-size-fits-all plan is not a fitting option. Instead, at The Legacy Care At Home, we offer personalized in-home care plans that match each senior’s changing needs and preferences.

Our in-home caregiving services are available any time of the day, every day of the week. More than that, we offer in-home caregiving services on a 24/7 basis (i.e., the caregiver lives in the home with the senior), or on an hourly basis depending on when the care is needed. With flexibility like this, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that your loved one’s needs will be met no matter what.
About our process and how we can help …
Initial phone consultation
In this initial phone consultation, we’ll ask some basic questions to learn more about your needs, and about what you require from our services. At the end of this phone call, we will be able to schedule an appointment for one of our specialists to visit the home of the individual who will require our services.
Home visit
After learning more about your loved one’s needs in our initial phone consultation, we’ll complete an initial visit to assess the home environment. This will allow us to develop a personalized home care plan tailored to the individual’s unique needs.
Personalized home care plan
With the phone consultation and first visit complete, we will develop a personalized home care plan for your loved one. This includes what types of support are required, as well as determining the ideal caregiving schedule for your loved one’s needs.
Choosing the right caregiver
We will select the ideal caregiver based on the specific needs, personality, and preferences of your elderly loved one.

What Our Clients Say
Parkinson care frequently asked questions
Why should you hire an in-home caregiver for Parkinson’s care?
Getting diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease is life-changing. This is not only the case for the individual diagnosed with Parkinson’s but often for the family of the individual. Families often attempt to support their loved ones with Parkinson’s. Still, many families learn they are not properly equipped to sustainably support their loved one’s wide range of needs, especially as the disease progresses. Negative emotions and an increase in stress can begin to affect the quality of life for the entire family, and this only complicates life for the individual living with Parkinson’s.
This is where we at The Legacy Care At Home come in. Our team of experienced, qualified, and passionate caregivers understands the complex needs of individuals living with Parkinson’s. But, more than that, our caregivers are prepared to provide a range of support services specifically tailored to the client’s unique needs.
What are some of the benefits of in-home Parkinson’s care?
At The Legacy Care At Home, our team of caregivers are first and foremost trained to meet the physical needs of seniors and aging adults living with Parkinson’s, including activities such as cooking, feeding, personal care, and keeping up with therapy appointments and the home exercises their therapist prescribes. Our team of caregivers provide support in a way that maximizes the client’s independence, respects their dignity, and enhances quality of life.
What method of payments are accepted?
We understand that caring for an aging loved one can be a stressful experience, especially when finances become part of the conversation. That said, because the cost of non-medical senior care can vary so much depending on the individual’s specific needs, we offer several options for payment for our companion care services:
– Private payment
– Insurance policies (e.g., life insurance; long-term care)
– Private insurance coverage
– Reverse mortgage
