What Is in-home Senior care?
In-home senior care is personalized, professional care for your elderly loved one, all in the comfort of their own home.
What sets The Legacy Care At Home apart from other senior care agencies?
Every caregiver we send is our own W-2 employee, never an independent contractor. They’re screened, supervised and backed by us, so you always know exactly who is responsible for your loved one’s care.
And the person who answers your first call is usually the same person coordinating your loved one’s care months later.
How do you select your caregivers?
Carefully. Before anyone works a shift, they go through an interview, reference checks and the Level 2 background screening Florida requires. Every caregiver is our own employee and works as a home health aide, and many also hold CNA certification.
When we match a caregiver to your family, we look at your loved one’s needs, schedule, personality and language. We stay in close touch once care begins, and if anything about the care isn’t working for your family, just tell us. We’ll work with you to make it right.
Are your caregivers employees or independent contractors?
Every caregiver we send is our own W-2 employee, never an independent contractor. That matters more than most families realize. Many services place independent contractors in the home, which can leave a family figuring out who’s responsible when a caregiver doesn’t show up or something goes wrong. With us, the answer is always us. Every caregiver passes the Level 2 background screening Florida requires, and our care coordinators make sure every shift is covered. They report to our administrator and alternate administrator, so there’s always a decision-maker available when something unexpected comes up.
Are there financing options?
Yes. Get in touch with us to learn more about your many financing options.
– Collective siblings agreements: Siblings with the available funds can pay for senior care with or without the understanding that they’ll receive repayment from an inheritance or the sale of the parent’s home.
– Reverse mortgages: Reverse mortgages allow seniors to use the value of their home’s equity to receive money to put toward care.
– Private insurance: A private health insurance plan may pay for a percentage of senior care.
– Long-term care insurance policies: Long-term care insurance policies may cover some or all costs associated with in-home care.
– VA Benefits: As a veteran, you or your loved one may qualify for various services as part of your benefits program. Eligibility depends on meeting clinical criteria, as well as availability and location.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
Not at all! Feel free to try our services for one month before making a final decision..
Is Your Care Only Provided in a Senior’s Home?
One of the many benefits of our services is that we will provide care at multiple locations. Our private senior caregivers can give one-on-one services during hospital stays or admission to a senior living facility to ensure your senior continues to receive the high quality of care and companionship they deserve. We can even accompany your senior on vacation to make the trip even more enjoyable.
