Hourly In Home Care

Trustworthy and Professional Hourly Caregivers Who Become Companions

Choosing hourly care is a cost-effective solution for families

What makes hourly care such an excellent option for many seniors or aging adults and their families? Well, hourly care is exactly what it sounds like – you decide when the caregiver comes to your home. This means the caregiver does not require accommodations in your home, such as a bedroom, in order for them to provide in-home care. At The Legacy Care At Home, we also understand the value of flexibility. That being said, our services allow for seniors and their families to schedule in-home care at the times that are most convenient for them.

More than just convenient for your schedule, hourly care is also more cost-effective than a 24-hour in-home caregiver. Rather than paying 24/7, you only pay for when the caregiver is in your home – and you decide when that is. Overall, this takes a load off your schedule and your finances.

About our process and how we can help …

Initial phone consultation

In this initial phone consultation, we’ll ask some basic questions to learn more about your needs, and about what you require from our services. At the end of this phone call, we will be able to schedule an appointment for one of our specialists to visit the home of the individual who will require our services.

Home visit

After learning more about your loved one’s needs in our initial phone consultation, we’ll complete an initial visit to assess the home environment. This will allow us to develop a personalized home care plan tailored to the individual’s unique needs.

Personalized home care plan

With the phone consultation and first visit complete, we will develop a personalized home care plan for your loved one. This includes what types of support are required, as well as determining the ideal caregiving schedule for your loved one’s needs.

We will select the ideal caregiver based on the specific needs, personality, and preferences of your elderly loved one.

Edna and her team of caregivers took care of my mother for almost 2 years. I started just needing some weekday help and found her team of caregivers so attentive that we kept increasing care for my mother. My mother had high standards and if things were amiss Edna made sure that we found the right match in a caregiver- even through covid I knew my mother was well taken care of if I could not get to her. I saw my mum flourish under their care and I can honestly say they they helped improve her outlook and made her last years very happy Years.

I was very fortunate to find Edna and her team. My father had been very sick at St Joseph’s hospital and we didn’t want him to go to a nursing home or just any home care. I did extensive research and finally found this Home care program and it has not disappointed. Absolutely everything has been better than I expected. Dr Pedro González came just to meet with us and my father and happily answered all of my questions. Mr Kenny Sierra and Mrs Edna Gonzalez have also been amazing. They are always available and resolve any issues that arise very quickly and appropriately. I strongly recommend this home care program without hesitation or reservations.

The Legacy Care At Home and Edna and her team have been a godsend for my mom and I. My mom suffers from dementia. I was in desperate need of some assistance in caring for my mom. After an initial hiccup, Edna provided the most caring, compassionate caregiver in Mildred Lizardo. My mom adores her! She takes my mom on daily walks and bathes her. She gives her a massage and prepares her clothes. She cleans her room, washes her clothes. My mom loves her cooking too! I’m a little envious. For what I am most grateful is the patience and understanding on how she treats her. Mildred really listens to her and now my mom has an additional person in her life to confide in. That is the personal touch.Thank you Edna! Thank you, The Legacy Care At Home.

I had the pleasure of using The Legacy Care At Home in South Tampa, and I was happy with the referral and service I received for my elderly Mother. Edna made it a point to come with the caregivers for an initial meeting, and both caregivers provided quality, dedicated service. I recommend them for any required caregiving needs.

Edna and her team are wonderful. They are very flexible and the home health aids they provided were consistently kind , hard working and matched well with my father and mother. We had previously used a different company and were much more satisfied with the people and care provided The Legacy Care At Home.

Hourly in-home care frequently asked questions

Why should you hire a caregiver for hourly in-home care? Close Faq panel Open Faq panel

An in-home caregiver who provides support on an hourly basis instead of a 24/7 basis is an excellent option for seniors and their families for a number of reasons. Namely, hourly in-home caregiving works better with most families schedules, it doesn’t require accommodations for the caregiver to live in the home, and it costs less than 24/7 in-home care. But even though a caregiver may only be in your or your loved one’s home a few hours a day or a few hours each week, you still want to be comfortable with a caregiver coming into your living space.
That’s why, at The Legacy Care At Home, our team of caregivers is carefully selected so that you only have access to the most experienced, qualified, and passionate caregivers. Our screening process is very comprehensive, and all caregivers undergo background and reference checks. More than that, we pay very close attention when assigning a caregiver to a family. Not only do we consider the support-related needs of the individual, but we also consider the potential personality match of the caregiver and the senior.

We understand that caring for an aging loved one can be a stressful experience, especially when finances become part of the conversation. That said, because the cost of non-medical senior care can vary so much depending on the individual’s specific needs, we offer several options for payment for our companion care services:
– Private payment
– Insurance policies (e.g., life insurance; long-term care)
– Private insurance coverage
– Collective siblings agreements
– Reverse mortgage
